Below is a list of just a few of the organizations in which Monroe County and Monroe County Commissioners are members, with lots of strings attached. Much of our public policy and spending is dictated by groups outside of Monroe County. What could possibly go wrong?

Monroe County Commissioners spend several hundreds of thousands of dollars each year on these and other outside organizations. These organizations cost the Keys millions and millions of dollars annually to comply with their dictates, but commissioners keep Keys residents in the dark about the costs and the policies. KAP will have a detailed analysis in the near future of these costly expenses that rarely benefit Keys residents.
